A Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a special day for every child and his or her family. At ALEH Jerusalem, a series of unique activities mark the occasion. Special learning aids and methods are used to enable the children to understand and experience what it feels like to celebrate a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

Last week, at ALEH Jerusalem’s Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebration, each child was blessed individually by Rabbi Ganz. A presentation about the children’s significant progress over the years was screened, they received gifts, as befitting the occasion and – of course – danced, assisted by our devoted volunteers who danced and sang along with them.

At the end of the celebration, each child and his or her family received a special kit which the children themselves had made, proving once again that our kids can successfully go beyond their boundaries, and live a rich and happy life. MAZAL TOV!
